The most coverted prize at the CMA Awards has no clear cut favorite this year.
The Entertainer of the Year takes into consideration the artists all around contributions to the country music industry. It looks at the singers songs, albums, tours, and all around appearances. Here are this year's nominees:
Brooks & Dunn - good year for the best duo in country music history, but the Entertainer of the Year seems to be out of their reach this year.
Kenny Chesney - won the trophy in 2004 and has only improved since then. It was shocking, he didn't win last year, if there were odds on this contest, he would be a slight favorite.
Brad Paisley - Brad will win this eventually, but not yet.
Rascall Flatts - they are my pick to claim their first Entertainer of the Year trophy. Between the hit songs, the successful tour, and being part of the movie "Cars," what else can they do?
Keith Urban - the defending champion had another stellar year, and anything that might have harmed that happened after the votes were casted. Still, I think he's got too much competition this year to win it again.
