There's a new opening act on one of the hottest tours in country music. Eric Church has been booted from the show and Taylor Swift is taking his place.
Eric Church, an up and coming country music star has made his name with the songs "How 'bout You" and "Two Pink Lines," but his audience to play these songs to shrunk significantly when he was booted from the current Rascall Flatts tour.
According to published reports, Church was removed from the tour due to not following tour rules. In a statement on www.ericchurch.com he writes, "Basically, we couldn’t present our show the way we had envisioned, and we felt that it was compromising our performance. However, it was a great opportunity to play for so many enthusiastic fans who treated us like a headliner every night, and for that I am thankful. ”
Sounds like Church wasn't happy with his allotted time on stage and took liberties with the schedule of the show, but that's my interpretation.
Eric Church has been replaced by newcomer Taylor Swift, whose debut song "Tim McGraw" is climbing the charts.
Was it a smart move by Mr. Church? Take a look at the venues he's currently playing and where he would have been playing if he was on the Flatts tour, and you decide.
