Here's a list of the nominees for February's show

This year's Grammy country music nominations are full of surprising names.

The Grammy Awards have historically choosen country acts that do not get a lot of play on country radio. When you think of persistent country Grammy winners, names like Emmylou Harris and bands like Asleep at the Wheel come to mind. In comparision, George Strait (the all-time leader in CMA nominations) has never won a Grammy.

Because of the lack of country stars that normally surround the show, it doesn't get the buzz from Nashville one might expect.

This year, things are a little different as Carrie Underwood, Rascall Flatts, Keith Urban, and George Strait are just some of the names on the list of possible winners. However, a certain female trio banned from country radio dominates this year's list.
