Nashville's Country Music FestivalWhere the Who's Who of the Country Music World Can be Found
Nashville is heating up as famous personalities in Country Music arrange their affairs to be able to to attend the hottest event of the year - the CMA Music Festival.
This year, the official 4 day festival begins on June 5th and runs through the 8th. However, true fans will be sure to be present on Wednesday, June 4th for the Kick-Off Parade and Block Party. Throughout the weekend there will be over 100 hours of live music, with daytime and nighttime performances at a number of stages and smaller venues. Over 400 of Country Music’s top artists and celebrities are set to be there, entertaining thousands of fans. From longtime legends, to the industry’s rising stars, everyone who’s anyone will be there. Multiple Stages Create Variety at the Country Music FestivalAt the LP field and Riverfront Park, four-day ticket holders are invited to not only enjoy amazing performances, but enter the photo line, which takes them right to the front of the stage to snap shots of their favorite stars up close. Children under the age of 12 are ticketed at discount fairs, and many events are open to the public, with no admission being charged. The truTV™ Fan Fair Hall, which does require a ticket to enter, is the place where fans can meet different groups and artists. Independent artists take their turn on the Acoustic Corner Stage, revealing their more intimate side, and connecting with their audience on a more personal level. Many stars spend time here signing autographs, and mingling with the public. Visitors to the hall are also given a peek at Nashville’s music industry and Country Music’s major labels. At the Chevy Stage fans not only enjoy music, they also have the chance of entering different contests and winning prizes. The newest trucks and cars from Chevy are also on display. Country Music Fun for the Whole FamilyAll of the events are held in downtown Nashville, within walking distance from one another. For ease of travel, there is a free shuttle offering service throughout the day to the different venues. The McDonald’s®-Dr Pepper® Family Zone is a great place for the whole family to enjoy the spirit of the festival together. Free fun comes in a variety of forms including arts and crafts, face painting, hands-on exhibits, product sampling, balloon entertainment, and much more. The top high school vocalists from across the country are invited to compete for the title of “Music City Rising Star.” This is just a sampling of some of the events that will be enjoyed at the ultimate country music event of the year: the CMA Music Festival.
