Top 10 Forgettable Moments

Country music has had its share of shameful displays.

The sun isn't always shining on our Music City icons, here's a look at some of those moments many would rather not have seen.

In response to CMTs recent release of the top 40 days that changed country music, I've put together the top 10 days that many around Music City may want to forget.

10. Septmeber 15, 2005 - Kenny Chesney ends his marriage to Renee Zellweger just 4 months after capturing the hearts of the world with their fairy tale story.

9. November 6th, 2006 - Joking or not, Faith Hill caused a stir with her on-camera "What!?" reaction to Carrie Underwood's name being read as the Female Vocalist of the Year.

8. June 4, 2000 - Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw are arrested in Buffalo, New York after Chesney ran away with a Mounted Reserve deputy's horse, and McGraw attacked deputies that tried to corral him. All charges were later dropped 8.

7. October 13, 2006 - Sara Evans drops out of ABC's national dancing competition "Dancing With The Stars" because she files for divorce, and the juicy details follow quickly.

6. October 20th, 2006 - Keith Urban checks himself into a rehab center, citing a relapse to past substance abuse problems.

5. April 5, 1998 - 3 of Tammy Wynette's daughters file a wrongful death lawsuit. The body of the queen of country music has to be exhumed for an autopsy to help clear up questions about her death.

4. October 13, 1975 - Charlie Rich presents the award for Entertainer of the Year. Instead of reading the name of the winner, (John Denver) he set fire to the envelope with a cigarette lighter showing his displeasure for the academy's choice.

3. May 8, 1982 - One of country music's most recognizable faces, George Jones is arrested for DUi and the confrontation is caught on camera for all to see.

2. May 10, 2000 - LeAnn Rhimes files a lawsuit against her father, Wilbur, and his partner and LeAnn's co-manager alleging that they stole more than $7 million of her earnings.

1. May 12, 2003 - Country music's top trio The Dixie Chicks make derogatory comments about President Bush at a concert in London. The impact is felt on country radio immediately.
