It seems like the less often you get played on country radio, the more likely the chances of getting nominated for a Grammy Award.
This is nothing new, it's always been puzzling. The country music that the Grammy voters find worthy of nomination is rarely in line with the popular hits of the past season.
This year, the Dixie Chicks, Willie Nelson, Vince Gill, and others who many country fans might never of heard of are on the list. unlike recent years, there are a variety of names that are recognizable, such as Carrie Underwood, Dierks Benyley, and Alan Jackson.
But the question remains, is radio not playing the best country music? or does the Grammy committee not know what the best country music is?
